I was born on 10th May 1977 in Đakovo, small town in Slavonia, Eastern Croatia. I finished my primary school in Đurđevac and I became the freshman of the high school in 1991. There I was appointed to be an editor of the school papers 5 minuta za... until my high school diploma. As a student I was active in a field of computer science and was participating in a county student competition in 1995.
That same year I became student of the Faculty of organisation and computer science in Varaždin. That same university I left in 1998 to try my chances in other areas. I was trying to study history of art, but before that I wanted to finish obligatory military service. After return from the army unfortunatelly I didn't succed in my intetions.
In 2003 I was attending seminars in certified Macromedia training center in Zagreb (Algebra) for graphic design, where I finished all the courses so that I became officially Operator in graphic design. In April 2004 I was also attending seminars for 3D modelling and visualisation that were organised in the company that I worked for. At the end of the year I finished courses acording the programme of the Print Media Academy in Algebra, where I completed most of my knowledge in pre-press and printing industry.
Although I started my career in graphics completely by accident, until today my never realised wish and ambition is to be part of the aviation bussiness. Today I try to compensate that by short trips in spotting, flying in general aviation etc.
When I quit my academic life I was part of the team that formed sort of
Youth club in Đurđevac, where I lived then. We organised many lectures and fairs about movies, literature etc. In 1999. I was also part of the organising commity of the
31st revue of the croatian film and video that was organised by Croatian film association. At the beginning of the year 2000 I was appointed as a chief editor of the
BUM bulletin that we produced by the
Youth club and was published monthly about a year. Since then I became part of the organising commity of the local fair
Legenda o Picokima and for it I was hired to produce visual identity until 2005.
Since 1993 I'm working in graphic design and desktop publishing. In 1993 I created identity for the
Month of croatian book, locally. For years I was hired by
Galerija stari grad, biggest gallery in Đurđevac to create layout for many catalogues for the exhibitions, concerts and other manifestations. In the year 1994 I was editor of the local newspapers
Domaća gruda and remained for a year. I worked on identity for local radio station, handball club, folklore group, youth club etc. I even designed amblem for the 312nd logistigs base in Varaždin and get my pay in boots and uniform that later became very useful ;-D As the world turned and Interned evolved I started my interests in web design.
At the end of 2000 I moved to Zagreb where I live and work today. I'm working for HRT (Croatian radio and television), national TV and radio network as a graphic and web designer. Today most of my work is focused on that firm. In the year 2003 couple of my friends and I started our own bussiness. We called it M2 (Marketing and Multimedia). We release our creative potentials in graphic and web design, consalting, marketing and other areas within the reach of the visual communication through it.
Since 2006 I've been constantly outsourced by a design studio
dzDesign from Zagreb for which I've realised a number of graphic and web projects.
I use mostly Adobe Creative Suite and Macromedia Studio for my work. From time to time I use other software that broadens my ability to apply knowledge in other areas (Adobe Premiere, Maxon Cinema4D, Macromedia Director). In terms of harware I am able to install, configure and fix common problems with computers. I speak english fluidly and have basic knowledge of german and italian language.
My personal interrests varies from aviation, cinema, music, literature and arts — mostly for graphic design and paintings. When the opportunity allows I travel, and part of the spare time I use for flying in Flight Simulator (if not for real).
